Dr. Lory Morrow

Lory Morrow is a educator, leader, and coach with over thirty years experience as a Superintendent, principal, leadership coach, and teacher.  She recently retired from her second superintendency with Lincoln County Schools.  Currently she coaches new superintendents in NC and provides education consulting support to engaged clients.

Sophia Mattews Partlow

Sophia serves as the Vice-President of Communication and Technology Innovation at the Harvey B. Gantt Center. Sophia brings years of experience in marketing, communication, web design, and social media engagement. Prior to joining the Gantt, she served as the Director of Digital Outreach for Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools and the founder/owner of SEMPlimited, a boutique branding and marketing business. She holds a Master’s Degree in Informatics from UNC-Charlotte and serves on the Boards of the Children and Family Service Center, The Be More Foundation, and the American Lung Association.

Gina Esquivel

Gina serves as the Principal Consultant at Civic Canvas where she focuses on supporting clients in expanding their social impact. In addition to her work with Civic Canvas, she has worked with Read Charlotte, Crisis Assistance Ministry, and Levine Museum of the New South. She holds a Master’s Degree in Organizational Change and Management. She brings a wealth of knowledge and skills in the fields of project management, program design, leadership development, and community engagement to the Honor Preparatory Team.

Astrid Salas

A native of Chile, Astrid earned her BA in Early Childhood and Elementary Education at Gabriela Mistral University in Santiago, Chile, as well a Masters of Arts in EFL Education from the same university. She also holds a M.Ed. in ESL and Bilingualism at American College of Education.
​Her education background and teaching experiences are valuable assets and have proven to be a powerful tool throughout her years as an educator, both in Chile and USA. She has more than 10 years of experience and has worked with various ages/levels. She came to United States in 2011 to teach Spanish at Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools, where she was a K-Lead Teacher in a Spanish Immersion Program, working in a multicultural classroom environment integrating 21st century Skills.

Kelly W. Price

Kelly is an education consultant who specializes in leadership coaching, federal program management, academic program development and poverty/equity/inclusion. Kelly works with school districts and educational organizations to improve outcomes for underserved students. He recently retired as Executive Director of Federal Programs for Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. Kelly has served as a district administrator in federal programs and global education academic programs. He helped develop CMS’ language Spanish and Japanese dual language immersion programs and taught Spanish in elementary schools in Kannapolis and Charlotte, NC. He volunteers regularly with the Dilworth Soup Kitchen to provide meals for Charlotte neighbors who face food insecurity.
